ANTIQUE HAIR PINS

Today I got a package in the post from a friend who lives in London.

He sent me the most beautiful antique hair pins wich he said he found in the garbage! Can you imagine!? Because they are real antique, made out of turtle shell (I know this is a bit cruel), with semi-precious stones and silver made.

I´m so blessed to have such nice friends!

Finally, after some problems with my computer and cookies, I´m writing a new post!

A friend sent me this lovely image of this crochet vest. It is so beautiful and I definitely have to try to make one myself. I have already made two rainbow shawls, wich one day I will show you here. But for now take a look at this gorgeous vest!

The other day I took a picture of myself and now I tried to make a self portrait with aquarel. It came out quite well!

Today I´ve finnaly finished my crochet rainbow bag. It looks so cool! I just published it on facebook and immediatley I got an order to make one for a friend, how cool is that!?

Wauw! I´m amazed by this dutch artist Suzan Drummen. This beautiful kaleidoscope kind, mandalas art work is made of cds, mirrors, cristals, optical glass.

It is truly a pleasure to look at!

GYPSY WAGONS ARE MY DREAM

I remember when I was a small girl I used to draw gypsy wagons and always said to people that I one day would live in one...nowadays I still dream about it and I admire the gypsy culture a lot!

Here in Portugal you can still find some nomad gypsy´s, they haven´t got the wagon but travel around with a donkey or mule pulling a cart load.

It is magnific to see the whole gypsy family on top of the cart load with all there belonings!

ALMOST CHRISTMAS

It´s almost Christmas and I even haven´t got a Christmas tree! It is because I´m gonna spend Christmas with my love and his family, so at my home no Christmas ornaments.

But here are some funny pictures from Christmas trees and other stuff...

BUSY BUSY

 Saturday I gave a Christmas decoration workshop and it was a big succes! I had 8 students, and the oldest student was 85 years old! She was so sweet, always saying to me she wasn´t able to make the decoration, but in the end she did it with a lot of fun. It was my first time I gave a workshop, I loved it and my students loved it to.

While we had a little pause, we ate some lovely carrot cake and drank a cup of tea.

At the same time I´ve got a Christmas fair going on for ten whole days! It has been a lot of fun, beeing the youngest of the ladies selling crochet and jewelry.
